Horses for Healing

Equine therapy has proven helpful for cancer patients because horses are naturally social animals that welcome a special bond with individuals. Once that connection is formed, it can provide great comfort to the cancer survivor, giving them a much-needed escape after the trauma of fighting cancer.

The Bismarck Cancer Center's new equine therapy program will be held at the TR4 Heart and Soul Riding Arena the 4th Thursday of each month. The equine therapy classes will be free to survivors and a guest. Register online or for more information, call 701-222-6100. Space is limited.

(*Participants must be at least 4 years old of age and under 210 lbs. Helmets are provided and required.)

Participating businesses are asked to allow their employees to dress casually and/or wear the cancer ribbon colors on the designated day in support of cancer awareness.  Featured cancers for 2020 Project HOPE week include: Head/Neck, Colorectal, Lung, and Breast Cancer. The last day of project HOPE week we celebrate Survivors!
